Tess walks

Tess decided to be the one who walks away. But as Tess walked down the hallway of the publishing house, she was intercepted by Decker, who stood with his arms crossed, scowling at her. "What do you want?" he snapped, not even bothering to look up from the manuscript on his table. Tess felt a jolt of annoyance at his rudeness and tried to keep her cool. But when he presented his sneering countenance, she stood tall and said, "I'm here for the meeting with an author." Decker raised an eyebrow but said nothing more. Tess felt her heartbeat speed up to 1000 as she faced his sheer handsomeness. Tess turned away, her heels clicking on the polished floor, and wondered what had brought such hostility from this man. There was a voice behind her. "Wait!"
